Eagle Manor is a waterfront estate on the banks of the Cohansey River, one of the largest rivers in NJ, surrounded by 6000+ acres of preserved wilderness. It lies just 15 minutes from the Delaware Bay. This secluded natural setting offers a large range of activies for nature lovers.
Eagle Manor is nestled on the banks of the mighty Cohansey River which runs from the Delaware Bay to Bridgeton, NJ with about 30 miles of kayak and canoe navigable waters in between with many small tributaries for exploring along the way.
The river maintains a width of roughly 500 feet miles past Eagle Manor. The Cohansey River watershed is sparsely populated and largely unspoiled. That means there are rarely any boats on the river which means no wakes and no dodging water skiiers. Just plenty of liesurely paddling in one of the most beautiful settings in New Jersey.
The Cohansey River fronting Eagle Manor is 15 minutes from the Delaware Bay and is a true deep water port reported to have a low tide depth of 19′ at the dock and is 67′ in the channel. Deep enough to accommodate the largest of yachts, it allows guests to arrive by water and to explore the Delaware Bayshore, which is often described as the hidden jewel of New Jersey. There are two marinas just 10 minutes away for fuel, service, and food on the river.
Eagle Manor offers many types of hikes. From leisurely strolls along the beach at Seabreeze or Cohansey Point to all day hikes through the wilderness where you won’t see another person.
Some of the trails are marked/mapped like the NJ Coastal Heritage Trail. Others aren’t officially documented anywhere else but upon the ground where they lay. There are also historic hikes across the river in Greenwich, or up the river in Bridgeton.
